As we continue this blog series, our moving company will detail the many tips that can help to make your move a much easier one. Take a look at our ideas.

What you should do to get your furniture ready to be moved.

Furniture is expensive, so you want to make sure that you’re taking the right steps to keep your furniture from getting damaged or broken. Follow these tips from our movers:

Tips From our Moving Professionals

  • Use Plastic Wrap – Plastic wrap is a great way to not only keep your furniture safe, but it can make your move easier. If you’re moving a dresser, wrap plastic around it to keep the drawers from sliding open while you’re moving it and to keep it protected once it’s inside the moving truck.
  • Use bubble wrap – For glass and porcelain, this is an essential supply to have when moving. For items, such as large mirrors, wrap your bubble wrap around it and cover it. Then use your plastic wrap to secure the bubble wrap and keep it in place.
  • Use Blankets and Towels – Using moving blankets, or even regular blankets and towels, will help to ensure that your furniture stays scratch free. Avoid packing anything on top of your fragile and expensive furniture if you can.

Moving furniture doesn’t have to be worrisome. By using these simple moving supplies, you can protect your furniture during your move and have peace of mind. For more tips on protecting your furniture while moving, stay tuned for our moving company’s next blog and making moving simple.
